1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) to use the Services independently. If you’re under 18, you may only use the Services with a parent or guardian’s supervision and consent. For any adventures or activities involving alcohol (e.g., wine tastings, brewery tours, or similar), you must be at least 21 years old and provide valid proof of age upon request. No dragon-slaying quests for minors without adult backup – and definitely no underage sips on the trail!
2. User Accounts
To access certain features (e.g., bookings, reviews), you may need to create an account. You agree to provide accurate information and keep it updated. Protect your password – you’re responsible for all activity on your account. Let us know immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.
3. Description of Services
We offer information, bookings, and community features for outdoor adventures like hiking, kayaking, and trips. Services may include:
Trip planning tools
User-generated content (reviews, photos)
Newsletters and updates
Partner bookings (e.g., with tour operators)
Availability isn’t guaranteed – adventures can be weather-dependent or subject to change.
4. User Conduct and Content
Play nice in our adventure community:
Be respectful; no harassment, hate speech, or illegal content.
Don’t spam, impersonate others, or post viruses.
User-generated content (e.g., photos, reviews) must be your own or properly licensed. By posting, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute it for promotional purposes.
We may remove content that violates these Terms, but we’re not obligated to monitor everything.
5. Bookings and Payments
If you book through us:
Payments are processed securely by third-party providers (e.g., Stripe). We don’t store full card details.
All bookings are subject to availability and partner terms.
Cancellations/refunds: Follow our policy (e.g., full refund if canceled 30+ days in advance; no refunds within 7 days). Weather or force majeure events may lead to rescheduling, not refunds.
Prices include taxes unless stated otherwise.
6. Intellectual Property
All Site content (text, images, logos) is owned by us or our licensors. You may use it for personal, non-commercial purposes only. No copying, modifying, or selling without our written permission. “Epic Adventures” is our trademark – treat it with the respect of a summit view.
7. Physical Activities and Risk Acknowledgment
Adventures involve risks (e.g., injury, weather, wildlife). By participating or booking, you acknowledge these inherent dangers and agree to follow safety guidelines. We recommend consulting a doctor before high-risk activities. You’re responsible for your own safety gear and fitness level.
8. Disclaimers and Warranties
The Services are provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We don’t guarantee accuracy, completeness, or that the Site will be error-free or always available. Adventures are thrilling but unpredictable – we’re not liable for acts of nature or third-party issues.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we won’t be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages (e.g., lost profits, injuries from activities). Our total liability won’t exceed the amount you paid us in the last 12 months (or $100 if nothing). This applies even if we were advised of potential damages.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims arising from your use of the Services, violations of these Terms, or your content.
11. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms. You can stop using the Services anytime. Sections surviving termination include IP, disclaimers, liability, and indemnification.
